To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, we will be having a pancake supper at the church in the Wesley Center to start the season of Lent. Things get started at 6:30 pm till around 8 pm or we run out of pancakes. There will be a Free Will Offering. If you will feel called to help in serving please arrive a 5:30 pm. We do need pancake mix, oil, sausage, milk and OJ.

On Saturday, February 1st Hope United Methodist became the first business in Hope to have a KnoxBox. The Cheif of Hope Volunteer Fire Department Inc Chad Emmitt came out to put the Box in service. Lenton Season is here. A pancake supper happened on February 25th at 6:30 pm and Ash Wednesday, February 26th. Administration of Ashes was at 7-8 am and worship service at 6:30 pm. Each consecutive Sunday more on the journey of Lent. Ash Wednesday was about the prayer we are afraid to pray. March 1st was about being an authentic Christain. More information to come

The Hope Ministerial Association sponsored a Pulpit Swap within three of the Major Churches in Hope Indiana. On February 2nd Pastor Andy preached at the Baptist Church about “United in Hope, Pastor Dennis at the Methodist Church about “Be Strong” and Pastor Ed at the Moravian Church speaking on “The Choices We Make”.

Sunday, February 2nd the Hope Volunteer Fire Department Inc had a Breakfast at Hope UMC starting at 8:30 am till 10 am. This was a free-will offering to raise monies for air packs and funding for a new Fire Engine. They raised over $400 after expenses
